Songwriting workshops
I offer songwriting classes to students with a keen interest in the creative process and developing their own original music. In these lessons we will look at the various ways we can construct and compose our own songs using the guitar, with reference to other instruments, as well as discussing the recording process with reference to software and recording techniques.
Scale mastery - 5 week
I am offering 5-week tailored courses after an initial evaluation where we'll explore the art of scale mastery and how it can help you unleash your creativity as a musician.
This course is geared towards intermediate and advanced players who already have a basic knowledge of scale theory and are looking to take it to the next level.
Together, we'll dive into all the fundamental guitar scales and modes, and learn how to apply them across the fretboard to create unique sounds and explore different genres.
By the end of the course, you'll have a deep understanding of how to navigate scales on the guitar, and how to use this knowledge to express your musical ideas with confidence and creativity.

Creative chords - 4 week
I offer a 4-week tailored course after an initial evaluation to help intermediate and advanced guitar players expand their knowledge of chords beyond the basic open and bar chords.
This course is geared towards intermediate and advanced players who already have a basic knowledge of scale theory and chords.
It is designed to cover essential chord theory and teach you how to create creative chords on the guitar using scales and arpeggios. We will learn a variety of chord alternatives, including some of my personal favoruites, that will take your knowledge of chords to the next level.
In addition, this course will cover various chord styles across different genres, including jazz, blues, funk, and rock. By the end of the course, you'll have a broader understanding of how chords function in different musical contexts and be able to incorporate them into your playing with more ease and creativity.
